Even in minor incidents or if the engine overturns, the front wheel can get so close to the road surface that the normal handlebar stop on the yokes and caliper bracket bends or breaks off. The yokes and caliper bracket need to be replaced, which is costly and inconvenient, and other parts can be lost.

The hard part of the LA R1200GS is made of laser-cut aluminum and shock-absorbing plastic elements. A solid rubber pad also cushions a small area. The hard part of the LA R1200GS minimizes the steering stop.

Plastic powder is applied to the aluminum part.
