The TrekRider is Avon's first adventure tyre with a 50/50 performance balance on and off the road. The tyre is designed for light to medium trails and is equally at home in mud and gravel as it is on asphalt. This new tyre will make choosing adventure bike tyres much easier. When choosing the best road bike tyre, performance can be hampered when riding through mud, but a full-on dirt tyre can damage a bike's roadholding. The TrekRider from Avon is meant to eliminate any compromise. The tire pattern on the TrekRider is completely new, with specifically engineered tread blocks and channels that cut through muck while remaining stable on pavement and concrete. The cross-ply and radial carcasses have been completely redesigned to provide outstanding high-speed stability for highway use while still maintaining the compliance of a specialist dirt bike tyre. Finally, a specially selected compound mix improves traction in the dirt while improving grip on wet and dry roads.
