This BMW R1200GS Adventure Plug & Travel ESA Expedition suspension system is designed for long distances with a lot of luggage, in all road conditions, right up to the track.The BMW ESA buttons work in exactly the same way, but the ride quality is noticeably superior.The Plug & Travel ESA shock absorbers are carefully tuned for the original BMW ESA equipment of your BMW R1200GS, with the same ESA driving modes, maximum performance and the latest suspension system technology.The BMW ESA shock absorber is a direct replacement for the entire BMW ESA shock absorber.The existing plugs and switches of the handlebars are used as usual.As a result, the original BMW switches are used to integrate the Touratech suspension shock absorber into the engine.

Features of the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel ESA:

• The shock absorber housing is made of aluminium/steel.
• All assemblies and components are designed for intensive use with heavy touring motorcycles.
• Large 16mm piston rod made of chrome molybdenum steel for maximum stability and durability
• Equipped with special low-friction seals.This results in very low wear and a long life of the shock absorber.
• The suspension spacer is fitted with sturdy stainless steel bushes for the mounting screws.As a result, the fastening screw is tightened without play, even under the highest load.
• The Touratech Suspension stepper motor specially developed for us is integrated in the spring-loaded shock absorber.
• Uniquely robust hydraulic 'Extreme' spring preload via BMW ESA button
• All setting options of the BMW ESA are fully retained.
• The Touratech Plug & Travel ESA is operated via the original BMW hand controls.
• Special Touratech setup for balance, damping and rebound.
• The Plug & Travel shock absorber for the ESA is fully service-enabled. This ensures permanently maximum driving dynamics.
• The Expedition PDS is a hydraulic device to prevent the shock absorber from bottoming out, and includes the use of a second damper piston. The effect: no mechanical bottoming of the shock absorber.
• The Expedition expansion vessel allows a larger oil volume and this improves cooling performance at high damping frequencies. An additional damping adjuster for the pressure stage, separated into High Speed and Low Speed, allows a very precise and extensive adjustment of the Plug & Travel ESA basic configuration.

The basic setup is intended for riders weighing up to 100 kg, including luggage. It is possible to adapt for much larger loads or other unusual requirements. We then adjust the suspension shock to your specifications by installing a spring with a higher spring rate and other settings. Then fill in our hanging system check form and send it back to us.
