The Touratech crash bar is right where it's needed no matter how the GS falls. The most comprehensive all-round protection ever offered for a boxer engine!

The cylinders are completely encased in a "cage" of 25mm strong, 2mm thick stainless steel tubing. Any occurring forces are safely deflected and dispersed to gently break them down. Numerous mounting points, targeted inflection points and the central support provide secure protection for not only the cylinders, but also the frame and engine of your R1250GS.
Despite the considerable tube diameter, the crash bar is positioned as close as possible and symmetrically to the vehicle axis. It has almost no effect on lean angles or ground clearance.

It fits well with the design of the R1250GS and completes the whole aesthetic - and is just one part of it all!

The crash bar is made entirely of robust, electropolished stainless steel and will not rust. Even severe scratches are less alarming and can be easily ground away.
The mounting points fit the R1250GS perfectly! Needless to add, everything needed to install it is included in the delivery.
