The Touratech crash bar is right where it's needed no matter which direction the GS goes. The most comprehensive all-round protection a boxer engine has ever had!
The cylinders are completely encased in a "cage" of 25mm strong, 2mm thick stainless steel tubing. Any occurring forces are safely deflected and dispersed, allowing them to break down gently. Numerous mounting points, targeted inflection points and the central strut ensure that not only the cylinders, but also the frame and engine of your R1200GS are safely protected.
Despite the large tube diameter, the crash bar is positioned as close as possible to the vehicle axis and is symmetrical. It has almost no effect on ground clearance or lean angles.
It beautifully complements the aesthetics of the R1200GS and complements the whole picture - and is only part of it all!
The crash bar is made entirely of robust, electropolished stainless steel that will not rust. Deep scratches are less alarming and can be easily ground away.
In terms of mounting points, the R1200GS is ideally suited! And of course everything you need to assemble it is included in the delivery.
